Description
This is a 20-minute work for unaccompanied choir that combines three evocative texts (Rev Luther Beecher, Minnie Louise Haskins, Desmond Harmsworth) and lines from the Requiem Mass. It is written for divisible SATB, and there is a prominent soprano/treble solo in the Pie Jesu. A solo baritone features briefly towards the end. The Gritton Requiem can be sampled here:
